The Christmas Build-Up

It’s that time of year again and Christmas is approaching fast. It was a bit of a shock to the system last weekend when I suddenly realised it was the first Sunday of Advent (already!) which meant I really should be getting on with writing my Christmas cards amongst other things (I’ll do it on Monday…).

I love Christmas because I find it a time where I can step back and enjoy time with my family and friends which I somehow don’t manage to do the rest of the year. There are several things that mark the beginning of Christmas for me and it just wouldn’t be the same without them.

Here are a few pictures of the key ‘build-up’ events that help make Christmas the magical time it should be. Many of them take place at my Church – I love being a part of the Wem Methodist United Reformed Church family. They are a big part of my life and Christmas is a time I get to spend even more time with them and I wouldn’t change it for anything (even if you do hear me moaning about having to get up on a cold Sunday morning every now and then!).
