Today was the Market Drayton 10K race – voted one of the best in the UK – and the Smalls and I went out to cheer the runners on as they went past the end of our road. QWERTY Mum and her husband, Liberty and her boyfriend and Taylor were all running and it was great to be able to support them. I think QWERTY Mum is looking far too cheerful in this shot considering how far she had run and how far she had left to go – I’d have been crawling on the floor and crying by this point.
Yeah, today wasn’t very exciting – I spent the time the Smalls were at school doing all the fun jobs like this…
After school today we went round to English Folkfan’s house for dinner and the Smalls had fun playing in the garden. Or hiding in the jungle as Tori called it.
It was Artie’s half day at Pre-School today and when I picked him up at lunchtime he got his third lot of fantastic comments from his teachers about how well he is doing so I decided he deserved a treat for lunch. This was him just after polishing off a sausage roll and a huge triple chocolate vanilla doughnut!
Tori cycled to school for the first time ever today – I’m fairly sure it took us longer than walking does but she enjoyed herself and we weren’t late so that’s what counts.
More sunshine today so I decided to let Arthur have some water play to cool off – he refused to have the water in his water table though and insisted on a bucket instead!
As always after the final of a series of MasterChef, I am suffering withdrawal symptoms already so I pulled my MasterChef Everyday cookbook off the shelf and made one of the (basic) recipes from it for tea. I was somewhat surprised that even the kids loved it – Honey & Soy Chicken Noodles are a hit!
I frequently look like that after polishing off any doughtnut! Well done to Artie for doing so brilliantly at preschool, can’t believe how quickly he’s growing.
Thanks for linking up to Project 365
