Today marked a bit of a milestone for Tori – it was her last official day of Primary School!
It wasn’t exactly the last day that was expected – for a start she wasn’t even in school, and hasn’t been for months!
We did walk over though, to say goodbye to her teacher and classmates – we knew what time their break time was, so we timed our dog walk to be at the same time. This meant that Tori got a chance to have a socially distanced farewell at least, which was better than nothing and marked the occasion.
It seems like forever ago that Tori started in Reception, at a different school to the one she finished up in.

She went to Longlands from Reception through to Year 2, but then in Year 3 she moved to the Junior School because we had moved to live just over the road from it.

Up until March she rocked the green gingham, but then lockdown hit and it soon became apparent that her final year of Primary school was not going to be what was planned.
Home school has been… trying. We have all struggled at times, but enjoyed ourselves, too. And now the pressure is off a bit – school work wise, anyway.
Just the small matter of acquiring the four tonnes of uniform needed for her new school in September now. Whyyyy does she need three different PE tops and a gum guard??
Love the before and after photos of school ๐
For the leavers this year it has been particularly strange times. I do pray Tori still has fond memories of her final year and that September brings a sense of normality for her and others in same situation. Keep on with the blog, I do love reading them and always look in my emails for your next one ๐๐๐ผ๐ธ
