I’m a bit late linking up this week – been taking a bit of a blog break and spending time with the Smalls trying to find a bit of a routine for us all. Oh and we’ve been out enjoying the beauty of Spring time together of course 🙂
1.
The sun has been out. Hurrah!
Days at the play park, trips out, picnics…
This week has been full of the joys of Spring and I can safely say that me, Sy, Tori and Arthur have definitely all had our weekly dose of Vitamin D.
We went out for a lovely lunch as a family and have been to the park numerous times.
Tori has expanded her vocabulary to include things like ‘bee bzzzzzzzzzzzz’ and other Spring-like phrases whilst we’ve been exploring and it has generally been a lot of fun, if a little chaotic at times!

I have made an impression on my wardrobe.
I blogged about my disastrous wardrobe a while ago and this week I have been out and bought myself some new, pretty clothes and cleared out lots of my tatty old stuff. I feel much better now, I hadn’t realised how much difference a nice top can make to how you feel about yourself. Which probably tells you how long it is since I bought myself new stuff.

I’ve had a lovely afternoon with my Mum today
There was an NCT nearly-new sale on at a school in Shrewsbury and after our brilliant buys at the last one we couldn’t resist going again. Mum and Dad came and picked me and the Smalls up and off we went. Both Tori and Arthur were asleep when we arrived so my Dad volunteered to stay in the car with them and left me and Mum to head off into the madness of the sale.
We got Tori some beautiful dresses, a summer jacket and an adorable cat outfit and Arthur lots of dungarees and tops to grow into for a total fraction of the price we would have paid in the shop.
Then we nipped into town to spend some vouchers that Mum had. Dad took Tori to the playpark and I strapped Arthur to me in his carry sling and off we went. Mum didn’t really know what she wanted to buy so I had a look around for her too. After a bit of gentle persuasion I convinced her to buy a lovely summer dress – it was beautiful and she doesn’t wear dresses nearly often enough because she always looks fab when she does.
Back to the car and home we went. It was only a couple of hours but it was lots of fun – I always enjoy spending time with my Mum and it was nice to spoil the kidlets without breaking the bank too!

A great days shopping is always a reason to be cheerful for me! I love the cat suit!
