The ever so lovely Bod For Tea is hosting Reasons To Be Cheerful this week and it’s a biggy for me because I have been slacking (again) so I have 3 weeks of cheerfulness to catch up on!

Here we go:

1.

Arthur’s Christening

We had a fantastic day at Arthur’s Christening with friends and family – good food, good company and a perfect day for counting our blessings.

Time With Friends

I’ve been out and about a few times with friends this month and it’s made me realise just how much I have missed it. Even if it’s just popping to the Town Hall Cafe for a milkshake with a friend and the kids and a chat about the weather – it’s good to see a different face and talk about things in normal English rather than Toddler-speak!

Of course, going out for fireworks, bandeoke and boozing was great too – it’s always good to dress up and let your hair down 🙂

3.

My little boy is getting big.

He’s learned to crawl, he’s started pulling himself up on anything he can get a grip on, he claps, he tries to walk when you hold his hands and he responds to his name.

He’ll be 9 months old in a few days – out as long as he was in – and it barely seems five minutes since he was a tiny thing in the Moses Basket in the front room. Now he’s a proper little character with a big grin and boundless energy.

4.

My a Toggler

Artie isn’t the only one growing up fast. Tori is a right motor-mouth now and, despite frequent ‘Terrible Two’ moments, she is charming and funny. Regularly making me chuckle with her one-liners and copy-cat speech. We have to be extra careful now – she copies everything.

  1. Lovely photos of the christening and lovely reasons to be cheerful. It’s scary how quickly they grow up isn’t it? Thanks for the ‘big-up’ too 😀

  2. I love the photos of the christening. It looks like a lovely occasion for family and friends. Your little ones are growing up! They will certainly be keeping you busy! Have fun and enjoy them while they are little!
