What I Cooked Wednesday #4

Pictured above are two of last week’s successes, the Chilli con Chorizo Tostadas and the Gnocchi with Sausage Ragu.

Turns out tostadas are toasted/lightly fried tortilla wraps (they go nice and crispy) and they were very tasty.

Oh, and I went for Pancetta Pasta E Ceci as my pasta dish on Sunday. It smelled good and when I taste tested the sauce it was tasty, and everyone ate it, and the leftover got eaten the next day. So I assume it was good. I didn’t eat it though because it was the Scout Leader Christmas Meal so I went out for a curry instead.

This Week’s Planned Meals:

Pizza – Because, as always, Monday.

Cauliflower Soup With Crispy Pork (Sorted Sidekick App) It is soup season. So I am making soup. Caius will almost definitely grumble, and there may or may not be a heated discussion over what the difference between a soup and a stew is, but I don’t care. I’m in charge of cooking, so we are having soup. *stamps foot*

Smash Burgers with Sweet Potato Wedges (Sorted Sidekick App) – Arthur requested burgers this week, and we haven’t had them for a while so on the list they went.

Slow-Cooked Meatballs with Cheesy Mash (Sorted Sidekick App) This has definitely become a winter staple! It is an excellent antidote to the miserable weather, that’s for sure. And I’m getting quicker at making it.

Creamy Mushroom & Mustard Gnocchi (Sorted Sidekick App) – I liked how quick and easy this one was, so I’m doing it again!

Macaroni Cheese with Peas & BaconIf I ever want guaranteed empty plates, this is the recipe to head for. It’s always a winner.
