Soundtrack Sunday

Has it really been a week since last Sunday? Half- term has completely thrown me out of whack, I have had no idea what day it is since about Friday last week.

Yay for calendars reminding me.

Musically this week I have just been letting Apple’s ‘smart’ playlists choose my music and it has thrown out a few curveballs as well as lots of favourites, Little Big also released a new single last week and it has been played quite a lot because it is… ridiculous but also somehow excellent. (Mother, if you are reading this, don’t listen to that one, you’ll hate it even more than everything else…)

Sweet But Psycho by Ava Max

Tori was obsessed with Ava Max for a while and I wasn’t keen, but it turns out when it’s not being inflicted on me constantly I do actually quite like her music.

Life Is A Highway by Rascal Flatts

I do love it when this comes on when I am driving. It always gets the volume turned up.

Hardstyle Fish by Little Big & Little Sis Nora

Bonkers. Sweary. Brilliant.

This week’s featured colours are: Brown, Cedar, Hot, and Hibiscus. (Oh boy, that last one is going to be interesting…)

(chart of colour/shade names from grammarvocab.com)

Brown-Eyed Girl by Van Morrison

It is always a relief when a song immediately bursts to mind when I read the colour prompt. No having to trawl the internet to find a matching song that isn’t too awful!

Little Sister Cedar Tree by West End Junction

Okay, so this was the only ‘cedar’ song I could find that wasn’t either a) Jazz (nope), or b) monotone (yawn).

I actually quite like it, and the video is clever.

Hot by Avril Lavigne

Oh good, another easy one! Nice no-brainer that I know all the words to and watched twice even though I have seen it and heard it many times before.

Hibiscus Song by Greg Johnson

Thanks for the save, Google! I had nothing.

This is a bit of a weird song and video but the whole thing is not unpleasant overall.

Which songs would you have picked for Brown, Cedar, Hot, or Hibiscus?
