Just interrupting your morning to make sure that you were aware that today is International Bacon Day.
I would hate to think of anyone missing out on celebrating such an important day of the year through lack of communication on my part.
What is your favourite way to enjoy bacon?
I love a good bacon sandwich (fluffy white bread, butter, bacon, smidge of BBQ sauce) but one of my favourite bacon applications is in/on/with Macaroni Cheese.
Something about the combination of bacon and super cheesy pasta hits all the right buttons for me.
I have also had candied bacon on a maple syrup doughnut and was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked – although now I think about it, I’m not sure why I was so surprised given that bacon with American pancakes and maple syrup is an excellent breakfast combination.
Okay so now I am going to stop talking about bacon and go eat some, because my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
