I think I jinxed it in my last Colour Chart post by saying ‘previous monsoon’… it came back with enthusiasm!
But hey, at least it waited for today instead of drowning the Squirrels yesterday.
This time round on the colour chart we have: Mocha, Thulian, Lavender, Pearl, and Olive.
What the what is ‘Thulian’ supposed to be/mean???

Livin’ La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin
‘Her skin’s the colour of mocha’ …okay so maybe 1999 was just the year for song lyrics to take up residence in my head forever.
Thulian by Barbers Green
What is Thulian?
Well. Thule is a semi-legendary island in Greek mythology, used to represent the most northern location in the Ecumene (aka the inhabited world).
Somehow this has led to ‘Thulian’ becoming a name for a whimsical, soft shade of pink. Maybe because of the Northern Lights?
The band featured here clearly knew all this because the video to their track is all muted shades of pink.
Lavender Haze by Taylor Swift
Yay one I didn’t have to go down a rabbit hole to understand! Lavender is a flower, and it is purple, and it smells nice.
Pearls by Jessie Ware
This video makes me want to go snap a pearl necklace and watch all the pearls bounce everywhere. It just looks very satisfying!
Olive Tree by Peter Gabriel
Okay that album art is creepy. Song is good though.
