CFHW Colour Chart 2024

How are we all enjoying the weather (assuming you also have the same weather as we have here!)? I love snow – it just covers everything so it looks brighter and smoother than usual.

Walking the dog has, however, been a little more exciting than usual. Not just playing with the snow (it is Chase’s favourite thing), but mostly the sliding around all over the place on ice – I have done a fair bit of Bambi-ing! I have managed to stay upright so far though, at least.

And now – on to the colour chart! Today we are finding tunes for… Ferrari, Ecru, Cornflower, Pecan, Ultra and Helio.

…what is Ecru? Because to me that just looks like the noise you make when you try to hold in a sneeze…

Googles: ‘Ecru is a greyish yellow or cream colour.’

Oh, so it is the colour of a sneeze, too. Good to know.

(chart of colour/shade names from grammarvocab.com)

Ferrari by James Hype & Miggy Dela Rosa

Starting out with a banging dance track today (is that what the cool kids say these days? Banging?)

Wya by Che Ecru

Funnily enough, there was not a wealth of songs out there featuring the word Ecru. But, it turns out, there is an artist with it in their name.

This music falls closer to the stuff A listens to, than anything I’d choose, but it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever heard.

Cornflower Blue by Flower Face

Is it just me, or is this song suuuuuper creepy??

The Pecan Tree by Deafheaven

I have no idea how the title relates to the song here, but again, slim pickings available. Although it goes on for about as long as it takes a pecan tree to grow, so maybe that’s it…

Dancing With Tears In My Eyes by Ultravox

One I didn’t have to search the internet for! Whoop whoop!

I love this song, it’s beautiful and haunting. The video is devastating too.

Helios by Charlotte Dos Santos

This is a nice, gentle one to end on.

Still not sure how Helio is a colour, but I’m learning not to question the chart…
