Well that was a bit of a breezy weekend, wasn’t it?!
I hope you all got through Storm Darragh in one piece – I know there were a lot of power outages and trees down everywhere near here and we weren’t even in a Red Zone.
Let’s listen to some colours to distract us from the grey and windy, shall we?
And now – on to the colour chart! Today we are finding tunes for… Trout, Pine, Apricot, Persian, Sepia, Olympic, Wood, Bubblegum and Floral.
Trout? Trout?? Some of these ‘colours’ are silly.

Die Forelle (‘The Trout’) by Schubert
Of course a German composer wrote a whole piece of music about being cross about a man catching a fish.
Enjoy!
Pine Trees by Jake Bugg
Keeping it simple with some easy listening Jake Bugg. Just him and his guitar… and some pine trees.
You’re So Vain by Carly Simon
This one immediately came to mind when I saw the prompt – his scarf, it was apricot after all.
Living On Easy Street by Tammy Wynette and George Jones
Who remembers Felix, our Not-My-Persian-Cat who used to let himself in to our old house? I miss Felix. He was the bestest.
Well, he was mostly Persian – not too squishy-faced though. And he stuck his tongue out almost as much as Chase does now.
Sepia by Manic Street Preachers
Man I haven’t listened to the Manics in ages. I forgot they were a thing.
Fly by Avril Lavigne
Avril wrote and performed this for the Summer Special Olympics in 2015 and it’s one of my favourite Avril songs, but not one people generally know.
Norwegian Wood by The Beatles
I have always been a little disappointed that this song is so short. I just love the tune.
Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Grows) by Edison Lighthouse
Stick with me here, there is no bubblegum in this song, but it is in the genre of Bubblegum, and I love it. So… there we go.
And yes, I double checked that it is counted as Bubblegum. I’m not making it up.
Flowers by Miley Cyrus
Flowers/Floral… basically the same thing, right?
See you soon for more!
