Soundtrack Sunday

Hey Blogsters!

The place my brain is at, definitely chooses the music sometimes. Looking back at my week’s playlist there has been a definite mood going on.

Music can definitely help heal, and keep you hanging on in darker moments, that’s for sure.

Here’s some of the songs that have been holding my hand this week…

Help by Papa Roach

Still not over just how damn good these guys were live. And their message of not being alone when your head is talking shit at you… was exactly what I needed to be hearing at the time.

The Universe was on my side this week, even when I was not.

I think I need help, ’cause I’m drowning in myself.
It’s sinking in – I can’t pretend that I ain’t been through hell.

Hate It When You See Me Cry by Halestorm

I’m here to save the world – but who will save Supergirl?
What if I’m weak and I need you tonight?
I hate it, I hate it when you see me cry.

Invisible by Linkin Park

You didn’t get your way
And it’s an empty feeling.
You’ve got a lot to say
And you just wanna know you’re being heard.
But this is not black and white
There are no clear solutions
I’m just trying to get it right

I Know It Hurts by Alter Bridge

There are tides slowly rising, the storm is on its way, yeah
But you can’t keep on fighting, so battered, worn and so afraid
Though it’s sad and wrong, I hope you will remember:
You must carry on

Far Away by Nickelback

I miss you,
Been far away for far too long.
I keep dreaming you’ll be with me
And you’ll never go…

*

It’s been a wobbly week or so, but I’m okay.

I’m not fine, but I’m okay, and tomorrow is always another day.

One foot in front of the other, music loud, lights bright.

I got this.
