Reasons To Be Cheerful

Reasons To Be Cheerful 1, 2, 3…

1.

Sarah & Tim’s wedding was lovely

The weather wasn’t perfect but it stayed dry enough for outdoor photographs and walks by the river. We had good fun spending time as a family and enjoying the ‘posh country hotel’ experience and dressing up for a change. Even Sy scrubbed up smart! 😉

2.

We had our first Alphabet Date

It was good fun being Sy-and-Carole again for a change instead of just Daddy and Mummy. It’s been a while 🙂

3.

I spent some quality time with my Father-In-Law-To-Be

Usually when he visits he and Sy vanish off to the den and are never seen again but this time Sy vanished with Tori so that his Dad and I could spend a few hours together instead. He has persuaded me to dig out the guitar again and start dusting the rust off so we spent the afternoon playing songs and singing together. It was lovely even though by the end of it neither of us could move from sitting cross-legged on the floor for ages and my fingers were absolutely killing me – they aren’t used to pressing guitar strings for so long at a time any more!!
