An Unexpected Visit
A good friend from school & college who I haven’t seen for quite some time (probably Christmas if not before then!) text me out of the blue and asked to pop round this afternoon. It was great to see him and have a catch up and a bit of a giggle. Tori took to him too and it was adorable watching her plonk herself down on his lap with a book as if she saw him every day and he was her best friend ๐

Yet More Curry!
As we promised ourselves at our ‘B Date’ we had arranged with Sy’s dad & partner to have another curry night and we invited Sy’s sister along too this time. We had a takeaway this time instead of going to the restaurant which was nice because there wasn’t the added stress of keeping the Smalls amused in a restaurant. We squished all 5 of us and Tori’s highchair round our tiny kitchen table and had a great time talking and laughing together. Good company and good food – it’s all you really need sometimes ๐

Tori.
My little girl is growing so fast I dare not blink some days for fear of missing something. She’s talking more and more every day – her words are clearer and there are loads of them. She is making sentences, asking questions, saying please and thank you (well, it sounds more like ‘agoo’ but it’s close), shouting ‘no’ and throwing tantrums and always asking for ‘cuggles’ and saying that Baby is ‘nice’.
Her character is really starting to shine through and I can’t help but be proud of her every single day (even when she’s being a monster).
Nor can I resist cuggles or saying ‘I love you’ or ruffling her unruly hair and making it even messier. She’s a proper little person now and she knows her own mind – I don’t quite know when that happened but it both scares me and makes me unbelievably happy.

I love this picture for her face, the fruit and the background that is so real.
I like your focus on relationships and people in this post.

They do indeed grow very quickly. One day you wake up and they are gone 5 years! scary stuff but super exciting too.
