Second is sometimes better than first.

First can feel like a dream. Unreal. Unstable.

Second cements first. Holds it steady. Keeps it in place.

After first, hold on for second. It’s even better.

I like the idea of second cementing first, holding her up, making her what she is (and agree). Just as I don’t understand the march to condemn middling – the world needs mediocrity, occasionally, to support and push up the best and give us a gauge.
