This month I read some of what was actually on my list as well as some others. I also gave up on Son Of The Wolf by Jack London because it was too hard going and I really wasn’t enjoying it.
Some reviews can be found below and the rest by clicking the links:
Invisible by Lorena McCourtney
Lightning Rider by Jen Greyson
Flood and Fang by Marcus Sedgwick
Glass Houses by Rachel Caine
This felt a bit like a book written to cash in on the whole vampire craze. I should have romped through it, but I got bored and plodded instead.
It was in the third-person perspective of main character Claire. Apart from the odd sentence that was first person, or from someone elses point of view.
Things seemed a bit shoehorned in, things that were vital to the story’s progression but somehow managed to feel forced.
It was all just a bit uninspired really. Which is impressive for a book full of vampires that were actually scary (instead of sexy) and ghosts and interesting things like that.
2/5*

This little lot takes my reading total for 2013 up to 19 books out of my aim of 75, putting me on target for success. All I have to do is keep up this ‘5 or 6 books a month’ lark!
