My Review: I picked up The Judas Relic having not read the first book in the series, The Archangel Agenda, but luckily it didn’t matter as this short story worked perfectly as a stand-alone.

I really liked the two main characters, Clay and Lina (Evangeline). They were almost opposites but complimented each other really nicely, making the storyline feel really solid through their growing friendship.

The Judas Relic throws you straight in to Clay planning a heist to steal a famous painting but he is uneasy about it right from the start – filling you with trepidation even before anything really goes wrong. There are plenty of laughs along the way though as Clay and Lina bounce off each other as they figure their way through the plan. I really enjoyed their relationship together and even though it was just a short story, I was invested in their friendship and wanted to know more by the end of it.

The storyline is fast-paced and full of just enough hints at the last novel and the next novel to leave you itching to pick them up. The Judas Relic is also laced with festive cheer which made it a great Christmas read and left you on a real feel-good note. I can’t wait to get my hands on the other novels and read more about Evangeline and Clay’s adventures.
