Album of the Week #1

I have a habit of listening to the same thing over and over again. I find my groove for the week and groove to it endlessly as I go about my day.

This probably explains why I know so many random song lyrics now that I think about it.

This week my album of choice has been Rise (Deluxe Version) by Skillet

I discovered this band when they were fronting Nickleback on tour and they had just released the first single from this album. I went home from the Nickleback gig and listened to their entire back catalogue and fell a bit in love. Their drummer is gorgeous too 😍

I love that they fit their spirituality into the music genre without compromising. I love the lyrics and the messages behind them. It’s very clever songwriting.
