Ever since I discovered that aeroplanes had giant inflatable emergency slides, I have wanted to play on one.
I really do not wish to be in any sort of plane crash, but if there is such a thing as a public experience day where you get to pretend evacuate a plane and bounce down the big slide – I want in.
Along the same vein, I spotted this at the top of the stairs in a hospital this week and…
…well now I just want to slide down the stairs on the emergency tea-tray.
It’s like having a big red button that says DO NOT PUSH – the immediate desire to push it is undeniable.
And so, now I have noticed that these exist, my wish list of ’emergency devices I want to play with’ has grown.
Are there any others I don’t know about? And how can I play with any/all of these things without getting told off/without having to be in an actual emergency situation.
Because let’s be honest, real life peril would suck all the fun out of the experience.
