Lessons in Life #32

Lesson #32

Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

My friends are constantly laughing at me. Quite often when I am busy stressing or panicking about something. This isn’t because they are all horrible but because they are removed from the situations I’m in and can see the funny side – the bit where I’m throwing a stress tantrum over something that really doesn’t matter at all – and by chuckling at me they help me see it too. So I relax and quite often laugh with them.

I try and tell my kids off regularly and they quite frequently fail to take me seriously.

So really pay heed to this one – even toddlers don’t take you as seriously as you take yourself. Step back and laugh.
