Personal Planner Giveaway!

One of my favourite things from BritMums Live was the pretty Personal-Planner.co.uk notebook and pen that we were provided with on the tables. It was a happy discovery that we were also provided with a gift voucher to create a personal planner of our choice as well.

I decided to make mine based on the school year, as Tori starts Reception in September and our lives are doomed to be regulated by the school timetable for the next few years.

It is beautiful. It has my own pictures on the front and back, words I have chosen inside it, the pages are arranged how I like and the birthdays and anniversaries of my friends and family are printed on the right days so I have no excuse for forgetting.

I can’t wait for September to roll round so I can start using it properly!

My favourite part of creating the planner was deciding what text to put on the inside cover for the ‘Please Return’ text – it let my creative writing side come out and I quite enjoyed personalising it.

Luckily for you, I have teamed up with Personal Planner to give you the opportunity to make and create your own planner or notebook for free!

All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment on this post answering the following question:

If you could make any day a national holiday – which day would you choose and why?

You have until Saturday 17th Augustย to enter and the winner will be chosen by my other half, Caius.

Best of luck!

AND THE WINNER IS…..

Caius looked through all the entries ‘blind’ (with no names so it was totally impartial) and chose the entry that made him burst out laughing as his winner.

Well done Paula Virgo! Your wit won the day ๐Ÿ™‚

And well done everyone else too, there were lots of ‘ooh that’s a good idea’s as he read through the answers!

  1. 8th May, my wedding anniversary then I know my husband would be off work for us to spend it together x x ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. National ‘think carefully about the annual percentage rate of interest before taking out that loan’ day – APR 30 (also my birthday ๐Ÿ™‚ )

  3. I would like a Wednesday in February to be a national holiday. Any Wednesday in February will do. February is such a miserable, boring, dreary sort of a month, with ages to go until there’s anything to look forward to. It would be on a Wednesday because the feeling of joy spreading over you as you realize you’ve got a day to do as you please in the middle of the week would be amazing and it would make a change from a long weekend. It would be obligatory to snuggle under blankets watching telly, reading books and having floor picnics. It would be called ‘Winter Blues Day’.

  4. Hmmm that’s a tough one! I think I will have to say Christmas Eve; we have so many traditions that we like to take part in on Christmas Eve and my partner usually has to work and we would love for him to be at home with us to take part ๐Ÿ™‚

These look so amazing! I would love to win :O)

  5. I was going to say Blue Monday ( the Monday of the last full week of January which is meant to be the most depressing day in the year) as no one needs to work on the most depressing day of the year – but then I thought it would be cold with bad weather and before payday after Christmas and therefore you would be restricted in what you do.
So I’ve changed my mind and am going with Summer Solstice (Usually between June 20-22 in the Northern Hemisphere) or the nearest week day. Then you can enjoy the longest period of daylight with a better change of good weather and the kids will be finishing school for the summer then too. It’s also a month after the last bank holiday in May so a good time to celebrate the British summer!

  6. I vote Christmas Eve Eve, not only because it was your first date but because if no-one works on the 23rd, no-one is going to bother working on the 24th either and we all get a longer holiday!

  7. My sisters birthday. It’s always the first week back at school which sucked for parties and now she works in education it still sucks!

  8. We have lots of national holidays over Spring and Summer such as Easter, May Day, August Bank Holidays etc. This makes Autumn and Winter rather drawn out if you’ve used all your vacation! I vote for the day after the clocks go back an hour, so this year it would be Monday 28th October. Gets people used to the new time and could be a Christmas countdown marker – 8 weeks of shopping left!

  9. I’d choose American Thanksgiving, the 4th Thursday in November. Since celebrating it with my American mother-in-law for the past few years, I’ve realised what a lovely holiday it is and it’d be great for us to have the day off, to spend together as a family.
