December 11th

‘SANTA SAYS HE’S QUITE CONCERNED
ABOUT HOW YOU’VE BEEN BEHAVING.
HE SAYS TO JAMES: I HOPE YOU’VE LEARNED
FROM YOUR MISTAKES, AND THAT YOUR ATTITUDE IS CHANGING.
TO LOLA ALL HE WANTS TO SAY:
IS STOP THE SHOUTING AND THE SCREAMING.
THERE’S ALWAYS A MUCH BETTER WAY,
SERENITY IS A FEATURE MORE REDEEMING.’

“Mummy, what does ‘serenity’ mean? What’s ‘redeeming’? Why does Damien use such big words, when he’s such a tiny elf?”

“I have no idea, Lola. Ask your father.”
