Some time during the day, the light bulb in Oscar’s tank mysteriously fell into the water, electrocuting the fish and shorting the plug circuit downstairs. The light fittings were all perfectly intact when checked and nobody could figure out how it had happened.

Lola was distraught as it had been her turn to feed him that morning and she was convinced it was her fault. She would not be consoled.

James couldn’t help but notice that Damien was sat on the table top beside the tank. Grinning.
