Turns out May has been a good month for reading!
I finished the book club book and two others from my list and then I accidentally got books out of the library mid-way through and read those as well. So my final list of books finished in the month was:
A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking, The Sound Of A Wild Snail Eating
by Elisabeth Tova Bailey, The Girl In The Red Coat by Kate Hamer, A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu, The Phone Goes Dead, Killer Camera, and The Hitchhiker – 3 graphic novels by Anthony Horowitz, Circles Of Hell by Dante, and Fortunately, The Milk by Neil Gaiman.
Note that for the first time in forever I actually read everything on my TBR for the month as well as random extras instead of abandoning my plan! Miracles do happen!
I also started reading another book which is now on my June TBR. But that’s 10 books read in May which did wonders for my 2018 challenge of reading 36. I’m now up to 22 so I have a few in hand!
Now, here’s what I am hoping to read in June:
The Storm Of Shadows by Ninian Carter – I started this one in May and will be taking part in the blog tour for it later this month where you’ll get to hear much more about it!
Gemina by Amey Kaufman & Jay Kristoff – I can’t wait any longer to pick this one up. I am looking forward to the next bit of the Illuminae Files so much!
The Humans by Matt Haig – My ‘book that isn’t mine’ for the month. Trying to get that pile down a bit so I can return them to their rightful owners!
Mrs Rosie and the Priest (Penguin Little Black Classics #1)byGiovanni Boccaccio – I have never heard of this book or the author but it’s on my shelf so I’m going to pick it up. I quite like these Little Black Classics purely because they let me read things I never normally would, in a bite-sized format that I don’t hate. I feel like it is making me a bit of a more rounded reader.
Smut Club Book – Whatever that may be!
