It’s another musical T5F this week and if that Terrorvision classic didn’t give it away, it’s all about my TOP 5 ROADTRIP TRACKS.
Driving along on my own with my favourite music playing and singing like nobody is listening is one of my favourite things to do, and I have put together a special playlist just for those times I get to indulge in a drive with nobody else in the car to moan about my taste/learn words they probably shouldn’t just yet etc.
It’s taken me a while to pick out just five tracks, though I guess it’s seven if you count the ones I snuck in as an intro and outtro…

5. Bat Out Of Hell, Meatloaf
It’s not the only Meatloaf track on my playlist by a long shot but it’s probably the one I’d leave if I had to cut them down to just one because that motorcycle guitar riff is perfection.

4. Life Is A Highway, Rascal Flatts
Arthur LOVED Cars (and actually, I have a bit of a soft spot for all three movies, too) but this track from the soundtrack is perfect for driving around to. Cliche? Yes, probably. Do I care? Not a bit.

3. Jessie’s Girl, Rick Springfield
I can’t help but sing along to this one whenever I hear it. Such a classic.

2. Here’s To Us, Halestorm
I love love love this song so much, but it definitely sounds better on the road.

1.What The Hell, Avril Lavigne
You didn’t think I was gonna make it through a list like this without putting Avril or Nickleback in it, did you? Just be glad I only chose one of them 😛
My actual playlist is well over 100 songs varying from cheesypop S Club 7 through to Metallica via 60s classics and Kenny Chesney’s sexy tractor. I would say my taste is varied, many people just say I have no taste at all. But whatever, have the sexy tractor song as a bonus track because I feel sad for anyone who has never experienced the joy of hearing it before:
