August TBR

July reading didn’t go so well, I just sort of got out of the habit and took ages to get Read With Pride finished, and then kept leaving Shadowsea in places where I wasn’t so I didn’t finish it until yesterday. Oops.

Luckily I managed to listen to my audiobooks and one of Arthur’s homeschool projects was to read a book with me and review it, so I squeezed another one in!

So, as ever, time to shake up the TBR and pick some more books to not read!

Stamped: Racism, Antiracism and You (Remix) by Ibram X. Kendi & Jason Reynolds – The Young Adult version of Ibram X. Kendi’s best seller, ‘remixed’ by one of my favourite authors – Jason Reynolds. I don’t often get excited for non-fiction, but I am actually looking forward to this one.

You Should See Me In A Crown by Leah Johnson – This was a birthday present in June from Liberty and it looks like it is the kind of cute and fluffy I need for summer evenings.

Sweet Pea by C. J. Skuse – It’s been a while since I picked up a thriller, and if I have ever needed page turners, it is now!

Shropshire Folk Tales by Amy Douglas – This is more of a dip-in-and-out kind of book. I might try to read one a week between other things.

And on the TBL I have:

They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera – I couldn’t decide what to start next so I asked Liberty to choose off my list and she picked this one. Mostly because she knows it will make me cry. She’s nice like that.

Earpedia: Plants by Sue Perkins – My Amazon Original for this month is all about plants and I am stupidly excited about it. It’s been a while since I got to nerd out over foliage – I LOVED the Secret Life Of Plants when it came out. Plants are cool.

Let’s see if I get my mojo back this month!

  1. I hope you get your reading mojo back. Normally I have three books on the go – one for my blog, one on my kindle for while I’m waiting somewhere and a book for me. Bit right now I’m struggling to get into just one!!
