One of those phrases that gets thrown around all the time, but did you know that we are actually in the middle of a Blue Moon cycle right now?
A Blue Moon is when a second full moon falls in the space of a single month, and on Saturday, not only is it Hallowee’en, but it is also a full moon.
The second full moon of the month, thus making it a Blue Moon!
It doesn’t happen very often, which is where the saying comes from. In fact, the last one was March 31st 2018!
The next one will be in August 2023, so we have a while to wait!
Not as long as we have to wait for another full moon on Hallowe’en though, the one this year is the first on in 76 years (!!!) and the last until probably 2039 by NASA’s calculations.
Here’s hoping it’s not cloudy, so we actually get to see it!!!
