The Film That No-one Expected You To Like
I went to see this film at the cinema with my boyfriend of the time and his mum and brother – they all really badly wanted to see it and I completely didn’t. It looked like all kinds of things I don’t like and yet ended up being one of my favourite films of all time.
Children Of Mentouches so many nerves on so many levels, it makes me angry, happy, sad, hopeful, despairing – all sorts. Just incredible and, apparently, the film is miles better than the book which is unusual. I don’t often believe such claims but it was said to me by two or three friends who are big into books before movies and they all warned me off opening the novel so I haven’t read it despite having it on my self for a while.
