December. The month I usually fail at reading anything until the last few days and then I read everything in one go!

Some years December is all about me desperately squeezing in books to hit my GoodReads Reading Challenge total but as my total for the year was 36 and I’m already on 48, this year is not going to be one of those years!

I do have a TBR list for this month though, including the Book Club read for the month which is The Good Man Jesus And The Scoundrel Christ by Philip Pullman. It was my choice of book this time around and as I have had a second hand copy of this sat on my shelf for months, it seemed like an obvious choice. Fingers crossed it is less of an effort to read than last month’s book!!

Also on my list is Room by Emma Donoghue which I have borrowed off Liberty. I have heard that the film version was a very marmite production (though it did win lots of awards) but Liberty tells me it’s a brilliant read so I’m going to trust her and give it a go.

The third title on my list is Girl Detached by Manuela Salvi which I am really looking forward to. Manuela was totally inspiring and eloquent at YALC and I have been anticipating this book ever since!

I also need to finish Derek Landy’s Demon Road which I started in November but failed to finish despite really enjoy by it so far.
