Bit late posting this week’s T5F because I forgot to do it in advance and then couldn’t think of what to do. But then Radio 2 put on a programme about Andrew Lloyd-Webber and I’m enjoying so much I decided to do my TOP 5 ANDREW LLOYD-WEBBER SONGS.
I’m already regretting this because I have about 30 I want to include… I’m going to impose an ‘only one per muscial’ rule’ I think!
5. As If We Never Said Goodbye
I haven’t actually ever seen Sunset Boulevard but I adore the soundtrack. I really need to find a production of it to put it all in context!
4. Tell Me On A Sunday
Such a gently heartbreaking song that is beautifully sing-along-able to.
3. Music Of The Night
It was tough choosing just one from Phantom but I think this one is my favourite… just.
2. Another Suitcase In Another Hall
It was a toss up between this one and Oh What A Circus!
1.Any Dream Will Do
So many memories go along with this song – and most of this musical. I know it word for word. I can’t share my favourite version of it because that’s trapped on a VHS tape of a school production, but this is an acceptable alternative 😉
I changed 5-2 repeatedly – there was no competition for the #1 spot – but I’m just going to have to hit post now otherwise it will never get published because I keep changing my mind!!
I'm a 30-something mum of two Not-So-Small humans, a cat, & a rottweiler. I read a lot, write a bit, eat too much cake and have dubious taste in music.
I'm a Leader in Squirrel & Cub Scouts, and if I'm not at home, I'm probably at the Scout Hut.
My hair is usually some shade of blue...
