What’s On The Menu? 14th – 20th May

Another week, another menu.

Going to try and do a bit more proper cooking this week I think, I’m more in the mood now. Had to do a bit of improvisation last week as half of my ingredients were out of stock and didn’t arrive with the delivery as I expected!

Hopefully that won’t happen again this week.

Monday: Baked Pasta with Courgette & Home-made Italian Sausage – Another My Daddy Cooks favourite that I haven’t done for a while, this one is nice and hearty and an easy one to prepare ahead in the afternoon when we’re all going to be busy in the evening.

Tuesday: Spaghetti & Meatballs – I have half a tub of passata that needs using up so I will use that as a base for the sauce to go with the meatballs.

Wednesday: Crispy Chicken & Chips with Baby Sweetcorn, Mange Tout and Broccoli – Swimming day, I know I won’t want to cook properly after an hour or so in the swimming pool observation area so I will be raiding the freezer for the chicken and chips here and then just adding some fresh veg to it.

Thursday: Retro Sweet & Sour Pork with Boiled Rice – One of my favourite fakeaways that I think it’s about time I tried on the Smalls.

Friday: Chicken Wraps – Tori has been asking for these for weeks and I keep forgetting. Not this week!

Saturday: BBQ Time! – Our Sailing Club is hosting a BBQ and as I will be there all day doing my RYA Stage 1 qualification anyway it seems silly not to stay for dinner!

Sunday: Tortellini with Fresh Vegetables and Cheese – I will have finished my course today and be tired so quick and easy is the key!!

Please leave a comment, I'd love to hear what you think :)
