A rare thing happened at midnight as 2022 became 2023 – all six of us in CFHW HQ were in the same room for long enough for me to snap a photo!
Five out of six of us were even awake!
No big resolutions from me this year, just a general aim to make 2023 a good year in as many ways as I can. Books, films, days out, forgiving myself for bad days, cake, exploring outside of my comfort zone, lazy days, board games… all of those and more.
As for 2022 – I finished 58 books in the end, which was a bit more than my original target of 26, and I completed most of my training for my Wood Beads at Cubs (to become a ‘qualified’ Assistant Leader).
I also made it from January to December in mostly one piece (pretty sure that broken finger is now ‘one piece’ again, even if it does still ache a bit) and I am looking forward to doing the same in 2023.
For now, I am working on a latch hook project I got for Christmas and trying to read Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo before I go to the book launch event for the next book in the series with Liberty later in the month!!
I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year and wish you all the best for the coming year – may there be laughter, love, and adventures all round!
