Autumn is my favourite season but it has its ups and downs. Some days it is crisp and glorious, bright sunshine and misty edges filled with wonder and toasted marshmallows. Then other days it is dark and dank, foggy mornings bleeding into sodden afternoons and gloomy evenings of bad TV and cold feet. This mishmash…… Continue reading 5 Things You Need To Do This Autumn
The kids have rediscovered their scooters recently so a trip to the park was required to use the skate park section! I noticed Artie prancing about in Tori’s fluffy heels and said ‘Strike a Pose!’ – He did as he was told 😉 Today we introduced my parents to our local brewery tour – Caius…… Continue reading 365 Project 2015, Week #19: ‘Fun’
My brother and his wife are moving house so I helped my mum babysit my niece and nephew for the day so they were out of the way of all the carpet fitting and boxes! I took lots of photos and particularly like this selfie of me and Evaleena 🙂 First day of half term…… Continue reading 365 Project 2014, Week 44
When I washed the kids hair this evening I noticed that Tori and Artie’s hair is almost the same length when wet! Pretty much the highlight of my Monday every week is pom-poms… Crazy weather today – like this one minute, torrential downpour the next, battering winds in between. Very peculiar. Walking home from school…… Continue reading 365 Project 2014, Week 43
Today my parents, sister and I travelled to Leeds to attend the final ever service at Meanwood Methodist Church which has been our family church for many years. Weddings, christenings, funerals, Sunday School, Scouts, Brownies – all sorts of things. Friendship and family, love, fun, worship, memories beyond measure. It’s slightly strange attending a funeral…… Continue reading 365 Project 2014, Week 42
My sister and brother-in-law were up in Shropshire this weekend with their lovely dog Kew. Tori & Arthur are both a bit nervous around dogs usually so it was great to see them confidently making friends with Kew. We went for a lovely family walk around Colemere and at one point poor Kew had three…… Continue reading 365 Project 2014, Week 41
Today we went round to visit English Folkfan and the Smalls enjoyed playing outside in this beautiful Indian summer weather. Tori loves Caius’ old trike now she is big enough to really reach the pedals. Monday is a busy day for the Smalls – they have Street Jazz dance class after school and they are…… Continue reading 365 Project 2014, Week 40
We took GB’s hutch to my parents’ house today. He is very definitely gone now. Yesterday I made jam for the first ever time, I was pleased to find that it had set by this morning and it is really tasty too. Yay! Sometimes they fight like demons but despite it all they are…… Continue reading 365 Project 2014, Week 39
After losing GB yesterday, we buried him in my parents’ garden today. Tori was very brave, giving him a last brush and tucking him into his box and writing his name on the top before putting in his grave and decorating it with pretty stones. Afterwards we went to a friend’s 50th birthday party which…… Continue reading 365 Project 2014, Week 38
