It’s halfway through the week and I’m musing on stuff I might get done this week.

The sort of things that would be nice to do, but don’t matter if I don’t do either.

This week I am going to try and finish the book I am currently reading (The Gifts by Liz Hyder) and maybe start the book I want to pick up next (Tick Tock by Simon Mayo).

These are both titles I have got at book events run by Booka Bookshop in Oswestry that Liberty & I went to. The two evenings were excellent, with the authors partaking in engaging interviews and book signings. They left me with the burning desire to read the books… and obviously being me I never picked them up. (I say never, I only went to the Tick Tock one a couple of weeks ago)

Liberty and I decided we needed to actually read the pretty books we were so excited about, so we have both started The Gifts with the intention of following it up with Tick Tock and also maybe meeting up for cake and hot chocolate in between to talk about our favourite bits.

Any excuse for cake really.
