Carole’s Music Alphabet ~ J is for…

CMAjJust The Way I’m Feeling by Feeder

Here we return to my teen years – these guys were a massive part of my college soundtrack thanks to the obsession of several members of my main friendship group.

I am still bitter that I didn’t get to go see them live with everyone – the gig date clashed with my Drama performance exam so I didn’t get a ticket, but then the gig got cancelled and rearranged for a date I could have gone to but there were then no tickets left for me to get. *Grumble grumble grump*

These days, I have to be in the mood to listen to whole albums by these guys but there are a few tracks that I still play a fair bit and Just The Way I’m Feeling is one of those. Buck Rogers is another one – that one reminds me of our college leaver’s party where it got played at least twice and each time our friendship group was basically the only people on the dancefloor because it was one of ‘our’ songs. Hearing it always makes me smile fondly at the fuzzy drunken memories of my friends faces in flashy disco light colours all singing along and bouncing around like loons. They were happy days 🙂
