Whilst trying to come up with some sort of project for the coming year, I had the idea of maybe expanding my movie repertoire.
It then occurred to me, that there are 26 letters of the alphabet and 26 very neatly divides into 52 in such a way that I’d only have to watch one movie every two weeks to complete the challenge.
This seems entirely doable.
(I am aware that this doesn’t sound like much of a challenge to some, but I am really terrible for sitting down and actually watching films. I just never seem to think to do it!!)
So, the first step is to come up with 26 films!
I’m going to try and fit in as many ‘I have wanted to see that for ages but never got round to it’s as possible, but I have a google page open for films released in every letter so I can pick out a few wildcards.
I’d also like to have a mixture of genres, eras, and styles – it wouldn’t be much of a challenge if I stayed within my comfort zone!
Before I start compiling my list I am going to lay down a couple of guidelines – 1) It has to be something I haven’t seen before, and 2) I can miss ‘The’ or ‘A’ off a title to get a letter if I need to.
Okay then, here we go!
